Bigfly
History

Bigfly
aviation is a privately held, Ohio based LLC headquartered
in Cleveland, Ohio. The firm was created in 2004 to service
the private aviation needs of professional baseball players,
teams and agents alike.
Although we are small, our size works towards your advantage.
Unlike large charter operators who service you through a
call center in Iowa, Bigfly services each and every account
ourselves. Our relatively select client base ensures you
will receive individual attention on each and every flight.
We get to know you and you get to know us. Since we charge
no upfront fees, the pressure is on us to provide the safest
and most satisfying experience on each and every flight.
In short, we have to earn your business one flight at a
time.
Operator
Network
Bigfly
hand selects FAR 135 Operators to participate in our Approved
Provider List. This Approved Provider List is comprised
of an elite network of the safest aviation operators in
the country. In fact, Bigfly works with less than 10% of
the over 2,000 potential private aviation providers in North
America. Selected charter operators must go through an extensive
evaluation and approval process. They are required to submit
necessary documentation and are awarded approval based only
on their ability to demonstrate compliance with our internal
standards for safety, aircraft condition, base location
and qualification of crew members. This network is managed
and maintained by Lorie Ford, former Manager of Charter
Operations for a prominent charter operator. Lorie has personally booked
over one hundred million dollars in private aviation in
her 15 year career, without incident.
Crew
Qualifications
Crews within Bigfly's Approved Provider List undergo stringent
safety checks prior to every flight. Bigfly uses the ARG/US
TripCHEQ (Charter Evaluation and Qualification) system to
conduct background checks on all pilots. This ensures your
crew is properly certified, has adequate experience, and
a clean safety record. Two crew members are assigned to
all flights and Flight Attendants are provided on all heavy
jets.

Aircraft
Compliance
All approved aircraft have been selected and checked for
aesthetic condition, damage history, and current safety
avionics. Every aircraft in the program is adequately insured.
Bigfly operates on the insurance certificate of the operators
within our network, who typically carry in excess of $100,000,000
of liability on each flight.
